First time at Maple Tree Campground for a little break from city life and to unwind with my wife and daughter. The cabins are very primitive but super cozy especially when using the wood stove. The family that runs the campground are very friendly and welcoming. They truly go above and beyond to accommodate their guests! Very quiet and relaxing once the sun goes down. We will definitely be returning, and maybe try camping in the winter for an entirely different experience.
We had a great weekend in the Firefly treehouse! Such a unique experience. The campgrounds are nestled in the mountains with lovely views. The firefly was the perfect amount of space for us, great little space for us we will definitely be back.
I went here a few months ago with a friend and the campsite was really nice. The service is great too. They offered a different campsite to us that was further away from the others for a quieter environment. They have bathrooms and potable water, so the amenities are better than a lot of campsites. Easy walk from our campsite (furthest from the entrance) back to the parking lot. Would highly recommend this site if you planning on hiking around Harper's ferry like we did!
Saw this a few months ago on Instagram and put it on my to do list— this place did NOT disappoint. I wanted to book and called in, process was less than 10 minutes (and close to 80.00 less than other campgrounds we frequent). Spoke with the kindest lady named Abigail and mentioned how excited I was and she told me to call her the day before and if the rental was vacant the day before she would let me in for an early check in to make our visit even more special!! Check in was less than 5 minutes and we were at our rental (maple house cottage— excellent for families with littles because it is incredibly close to facilities). Cleanliness, service, attention to detail and safety 10/10! Was so excited I stopped by the office and inquired about a Father’s Day rental because we had such a great time.
We just took our family vacation here. This is my 3rd time at this gorgeous place. I loved it so much after my 2010 stay, that I brought my husband in 2012 here for our honeymoon. We loved it so much, we brought our 3 kids back this year to stay and see Harper’s Ferry and Crystal Grottes Caverns. The staff are amazing. Super friendly and just absolutely wonderful. Louise has been there since my first stay and she is just so kind. If you are curious if the 4 season cabin is truly 4 season, I can assure that they are very well insulated, if you are staying in the summer open your windows as soon as you arrive because it does get very warm in the cabin. I cannot put into words how much I truly love this place.
For an ENCHANTING camping experience, no need to look anywhere else! The beautiful peeps that take care of the place, keep things immaculate (including super clean restrooms), treat you like family & will see to it that your stay is a joyous, relaxing one... The BEST !!!!!
Pretty nice area! The service was quick, beware that the clothing store there closes at 5 PM. My group stayed at Hickory cottage. The beds are not comfortable and very short so you may bump your head every two seconds hahaha. Tons of space to walk & you can get reception out there! The bathrooms were clean but beware someone taller may be able to see over the stall 😅. Overall a decent experience and not bad for a quick camping trip.
This is a wonderful place to camp. I took my church group and they loved it so much they want to camp there again. The group site was very spacious. The tipi field was on a hill but we were able to find flat space for the tents. I love that quiet time doesn't start until 11pm, as most camping sites are at 10pm, and this allowed us to play some group games after a late dinner. The bathrooms and shower stalls were clean and nice. There were also porta-potties on the premises. It was so nice to see a spacious dishwashing station and they also have potable water that you draw with a lever. The pavilion was also quite lovely. It was indoors with an outdoor rustic feeling. Regarding cell phone reception, it was botchy but good in certain spots (I have T-Mobile). Some from my group also stayed in the cottages and they enjoyed the experience. Just remember to take your own flashlight. Overall, two thumbs up.
